How to Bring People Closer

 

I just finished filming the soon-to-be-released Brand Is Gravity workshop and I’ve been thinking non-stop about what it means to bring people closer, because I believe that is what brand is all about. Making money isn’t the point of a great business, its a byproduct.

When you do the work to define your “why” as best-selling author and thought leader Simon Sinek puts it, you can begin to find and connect with others who believe in the same things. I spend so much of my time preaching the message of connection and this is at the core. Bringing people closer will benefit every area of your organization from sales, to recruiting, to internal culture alignment, and interpersonal relationships.

Oftentimes, bringing people closer requires us to battle our own insecurities and fears. It requires vulnerability. It isn’t easy, but its worth it.
