Have you ever felt helplessly overwhelmed by ideas and inspiration? I’m not simply talking about not getting something done. I’m talking about getting REALLY (almost hopelessly) frustrated because you have great ideas, great opportunities, and great potential but almost feel crushed by the weight of not having enough time, or ability, to execute to make progress. 

I have and still do fairly often. 

That’s why I’m so excited to share a little known short story that changed my perspective forever. The story is called “Leaf by Niggle” and was written by the legendary J.R.R. Tolkien (The Hobbit / Lord of the Rings).

I won’t spoil the story, but it involves a creative, a world war, and a sudden death…and the CLARITY it gave me brought tears of joy, relief and immediate appreciation.
